Work is underway for Magnet JQS to prepare new tools to give the industry “Return on Sustainability”.

The goal is to move the industry from simply collecting data to using it for strategic advantage.

She emphasizes that the new updates will be designed to make the data useful, not just compliant.

Better data, lower risk, the concept is simple: “Return on Sustainability.” For the buying organizations, this means clearer indicators and a stronger data foundation. For suppliers, it means a transparent way to showcase maturity and competitive edge.

Ole Andreas Gilje Rossavik, Lead Auditor & Sustainability Advisor, points out that this integration is critical for reducing uncertainty in the supply chain.

– When you present ESG figures within the same structure as Quality and HSE, the risk picture becomes much clearer, Rossavik says.

– It is not just about being “green.” It is about understanding the robustness of your supply chain. The work we are doing now provides the deep insights needed to make informed, data-driven decisions. It turns abstract sustainability goals into specific, actionable metrics.

The ongoing development in Magnet JQS includes improved visualization and more structured data collection. This ensures that sustainability becomes a measurable metric rather than a vague promise.
